My car is a 86 gt with stock bottom end Canfield aluminum heads, blower cam 575 lift, Howard's cams roller rockers,q 1.72, Holley systemax 2 intake, 80 mm pro-m, vortech v1, 80 mm throttle body, 42lb injectors, where shall I start.... About 1 month ago I was street racing and my car after going through 3 gears car started stumbling and running like it was on 6-7 cylinders. After limping home because I was close we took off valve covers to find 2 broken pushrods. So we took the motor apart down to the block refreshed the entire top end. New lifter, pushrods, valve job, rocker arms, ect. This was all done by original engine builder at his shop. Put car back together and it started right up. Ran fine for about 10 miles then started to run rough again, like it did when I first broke pushrods. Checking all electronics and plugs and wires they all check out good. I pull upper intake off and valve covers to see if anything came loose.... But there all adjusted right where engine builder set them, he puts a white mark at 12 o'clock position of the tightening nut this way if it loosens or comes out of adjustment, u would know. Can't figure it out would a tps, ignition module, map sensor or msd cause this nasty miss. I'm at a loss. If any info is out there I need it......
