not sure if this is a stupid question or not, but will a deck lid from an 86 SVO fit an 89 Fox Body Convertible?

you mean the trunk?

are you asking if a hatch from a hatchback will fit a coupe/vert? If so, then, um....no. youd have a pretty wicked overhang lol

(to my knowledge, all SVOs were hatchbacks)

All SVO's were hatchbacks. Might you mean an SSP (police) notchback? If so, yes. All trunklids will fit between all 79-93 models...if they have a trunk

oh, i didn't think all SVO's were hatchbacks....I have no idea to be honest lol

If you dont want a luggage rack get one from a notchback.

I believe the verts are drilled for exterior hinges an the notches have interior hinges. So if you get one off a vert you have to fill the holes (an remove the luggage rack an fill those holes too).

well I have a vert....will the notchback fit perfectly? I'll have to drill holes for the hinges?
