Notch roll bar in a vert

I found a 4 point notch roll bar ( bolt in) local for real cheap. This should bolt right up right? ( I know welding is better, once it it's it'll get welded)

Not sure the brand or anything.

I'll be getting it this weekend unless it will just not work at all. It won't get installed for a few weeks though.

I'll be honest.. It's cheap, I think they look cool, and it'll make the wife happy, I'm not going to the track any time soon.

A bolt in roll bar is useless IMO, much like bolt in SBF. Also, for some reason the attaching points dont look right for a vert. What year is that for? Also, why do you want to install it if you are not taking it to the track. All it will do is add weight, impair your vision, and make it harder to get in and out of the back seat. You may also need to readjust your top for clearance. If you just want looks, I would find a used light bar as they are an easier install, lighter, and don't obstruct rear vision or entry as much.

If it bolts up, it'll get welded in also. My
Thoughts are to bolt it up and fab up some plates for the underside for the bolts to go though, once it's all bolted up it'll get welds.

Bolt in bars aren't useless just because they're bolt in, if they're done right, but if they're not done right, they are useless, and for that reason, I proclaim that bar...useless. There's nowhere near enough angle between the uprights and the rear downbars to provide any kind of real longitudinal stability in the event of an actual rollover, but it will provide a very efficient means of injure or killing the occupants in the event of even a slight accident that causes their heads to bounce off the tubing.

backwards? Look at the top horizontal bar. It isn't flush with the vertical bars. Something aint right here unless that is some f'ed up angle in that picture. Compare that to the other pics of rollbars made for convertibles. Does it look similar? That looks like it can cause more damage than help.

people are trying to give you sound advice. All the rollbar padding in the world wont save your life. Padding is made to soften the impact when wearing a helmet.

Then I'll make my friends wear helmets! J/k. I'm still waiting for more info from the guy. I'll be honest, I got excited cuz it's super maga cheap and he lives in my town. And I wanted to hear " yes, they'll bolt right in, and look great, I wish I was you" but didn't get that. My bad if I came off defensive . My primary goal would be looks, but if it won't install easy ill dodge it. From the pics it looks like both mounting points would be in the rear floor board and that would eat up the rear leg room but it won't see rear passengers offen. It's just a weekend cruiser.

Coupe and vert are different.. The back seat is smaller because the top folds down. It's prob only 2 seats wide instead of 2-1/2. I've never seen one like you got there. Is it homemade?

Like the others have said, don't waste your time, effort or money. That is dangerous, no way about it. I would feel much safer in a car that had nothing over a car that had that installed giving a false sense of security.
