Over the past week I have run into a lot of fellow mustangers. Last Sunday I was coming home from my girlfriends house. I was on the highway when I see an 05+ GT pull on. I slowly cruise up to him and we both give each other the thumbs up. In front of us was some little rice Honda, we both look at each other and point at the Honda. So I get to one side and he gets to the other side. The guy in the Honda looks all confused trying to figure out why 2 stang are on either side of him. Be both go WOT to freak the guy out and then go our own ways. I had to drop off my car at Ford Tuesday and when I went to pick it up Wednesday there was another guy in line. He hears that I'm picking up my stang and he said he was picking his 07 up from getting mods done. We ended up talking fro 20 mintues about different mods and stuff. Then on my way to work Thursday I see another laser red GT. I cruise up to him and he gives me the thumbs up and I return it. I love how it seems we are all in the same family and love the cars we drive. I know ever time I see another stang on the highways I try to catch up just to cruise with them or If I see one in a parking lot I have to park next to them. Stangs for every, there is nothing like driving around with the name that started the muscle car.

I have yet to have a old school stang guy give me a thumbs up or anything like that. I do however get some disrespect from 5.0 guys from time to time. but i know what your talking about and it is very cool.

Every time I see a V-8 Stang the person has been really nice and talketive Every V-6 owner has not been.
There is this one Blue Mach1 in town owned by a chick that obviously has no idea what she has. BOTH side scoops are ripped off from side swiping stuff and the shaker has a chunk missing, really wants to make me cry

I have had one guy that was in a 67 fastback give me a thumbs up but that was about it from the classic guys. One day I was at a gas station and this guy that was in his 70s comes up to me saying how he likes my car and how he use to work at ford when the original mustangs came out. Then there is my dad and when he sees a classic stang he says hey look there’s a real mustang. He doesn’t consider are cars a real stang.

It dose seem to me that mostly the 99-08 guys will give the thumbs up or wave. I can't say for 94-98 seeing as I don't see them on the roads much. The guys in the foxes always seem to have a beat up car and want to race me.

Don't generalize us all. Look at my sig, do you think I'm like that?

But on the parking thing I have to do this too. You know that if you park next to someone else's nice, clean, taken car of Mustang in a parking lot that he his not gonna slam his freakin door into your's and be careless around another nice Mustang.

I'm always trying to talk to other mustang owners. Most are real nice, and we'll talk for a while about each others cars. Then there are some that I try and talk to and they won't even give you the time of day. The thing about the modern muscle car era is that "some" of them are not actually car nuts. They just think they have a nice looking car, and that's it. I'm the other way around. I don't care what kind of car you have. If it's a nice car I'll let you know it. That's what makes us car nuts a breed and family of our own.

i said usually, and this is just for me - so possibly concentrated to my area. That's no generalization, it's an observation

Dang where I live most of the stang drivers are tards they all think they drive a TT viper. I would say they act like ricers. My town has maybe 60000 people i know all the stang owners that are out and about and do some racing. I would say maybe 20 of them I only like 3-4 of them. Im a friendly guy to they are just deuches i guess.

I look at the 6'ers to see if a nice looking chick is driving it. Otherwise I ingnore the 6'ers. All the other people driving GT's never even look in my direction so their most likely oblivious to what their driving in the first place. I had a '99-'01 Cobra try and street race me the other day. All I did was put my foot on the gas while letting the clutch out and he thought I was racing him . His Cobra sounded like complete ass. He had some kind of o/r midpipe that sounded horrible at high rpm's.

Fair enough! I love all Mustangs. Thats why I have my 68, 90 GT, 04 GT, and a few others. They all have their different characteristics, and they are all 3 great in 3 different ways.

I guess that's the way to tell a hardcore Mustang person, the fact that I have 3 different Mustangs that I drive on a regular basis and that I appreciate them for what they are. They are all 3 totally different from each other, but they all 3 accell on different levels.
