I just want to know if heads from a 98 F-150 4.6 are the same as the 96-98 GT heads...? Intake/exhaust runners, combustion chambers all the same just like the PI's between truck and Mustang?
maybe, you'll have to look at the head as trucks had either Windsor (13/14 bolt) or Romeo heads (11 bolts) and should be Non-Pi wth the "tear-drop" shapped intake port
Thanks, Randy. I thought all non-PI heads were Romeo's...?

nope, Windsors also came as a Non-PI in 1996 Crown Vics and 1997 to @2001 trucks
If youre replacing heads surely you want to go P.I.?![]()
Nope. Ported Non-PI's.
I need to get in touch with this Jim of Renegade Racing as soon as I find a set of castings.
Why not ported PIs if you are paying for the head work?I thought ported NPIs made less than PIs.Why not ported PIs if you are paying for the head work?

Nope. Ported Non-PI's.

Get ahold of TGJ on here, he has a set of NPI's done by Jim and everyone raves about his work.
It's what I get for being so indecisive.Yeah, had the NPI heads that originally came with my engine not been screwed when I bought the car, I would have just ported them, instead of swapping out to the PI heads. I wanted to go with the PI cams and valve train anyway, so I just went ahead and bought a set of used PI's I stumbled across for a really good deal (at the time).I actually sold an extra set of Non-PI's I had AND a set of Windsor PI's. That was when I also thought the NPI's were worthless and either wanted some PI's from VT or 4-valve heads. It's what I get for being so indecisive.
