i had an incident recently where my cats failed on the drivers side due to what i now think was a blown head gasket. the middle cat got so hot it melted the paint on the bottom of the car! i gutted the cats and then the engine went out. i made a thread about it because the car was so slow and the fine details of the story are in the thread.

i purchased a new engine because the old one started knocking. now it has a problem where its dying on startup and throwing the codes 1130 and 1131 for the front o2 sensors apparently reading lean. i suspect the egr is stuck, a vacuum leak, or ?..

Did you REUSE the old O2 sensors? If so, likely they have been contaminated by coolant.

If these are new O2 sensors, start first with a through review of the wiring harness just in case it was heat damaged.
