Yea, it took 6 months to get it, can't say whether I'd wait that long again ( or at least want to
) But happy as **** now.
500 miles on her. Filled up this morning and got 17.5 mpg ( not babying it either) Drag raced my kid in my 89 V8 Ranger ( 331 stroker, 3 two's, Canfield heads, runs mid 13's) it was a dead heat, neck and neck. Let her rip on a 2 mile deserted stretch of highway at 3:30 am this morning-- top speed is about 147mph, where the speed limiter kicks in. Steering's too quick a ratio for that speed. The Ranger handles more comfortably up there. Zero problems so far. Everyone's impressed with the Vista Blue, myself included. Only negative so far is the limited fuel capacity, I drive for a living and my point where I start getting antsy on fueling is at the 1/4 mark, making usable capacity of the Stang, 12 gals. Still looking for dressup parts for the motor. Found one guy on ebay that had chromed valve covers, but he was a tad steep at $400 a set. An aluminum upper intake would also do wonders towards dressing things up there too.
