I'm working on the 84 Capri 5L. Basically it was an intake job. upon installation, I noticed that the ignition wires seemed to be in a different arrangement- compared to my 82 GT and my previously owned 94 GT. BTW, I removed it with the wires still installed onto the cap.
My problem lies on the firing order, this is pretty much the first time I'm doing anything to the motor on this thing and it seem to want to run on a 13265478 instead of the 13726548 order. It doesn't fire at all with the correct order. it runs rough on the order that I found it at, but at least it runs. And I've tried the non-H.O. firing order as well, and have looked for TDC on #1 cylinder as well.
I am at a lost here, this is the first time I've had this problem with a 5.0. Anyone have any clue what's going on? Or what I'm missing here? Thanks ALL!
