off road h pipe. I have heard the prochamber sounds nice but is not very loud. My off road h sounds awesome! Its not super loud, but I think it is louder than a prochamber from what every one has posted in these forums. I have original 40 series flowmaster mufflers too.

The o/r h-pipe will give you a more deeper sound where the prochamber will be a bit more rasp at WOT. I think the prochamber might give you a few more ponies at the wheel too but just a few. I have the prochamber and I love it.

A Mustang with an o/r h-pipe and flowmasters.....gee...I haven't heard the sound of one of those in the last .......

7 seconds ?

Seriously though lol. I'm not trying to knock your post or start anything. It's just I personally wouldn't want to sound like every other Mustang rolling around but then again, that may just be me. In the end, its up to him. Good point though. If he likes the standard muscle car sound typical to most Mustangs, the o/r h and flows are the way to go.

If you go with an off road pipe, I would get gears too. You will loose some torque down low, but gears will make up for that. Its not a huge loss but it is noticeable. You will loose less with a off road h pipe than an off road x pipe. X pipes flow better but you loose lots of back pressure which = torque loss. Dont let anyone tell you different I know I have done it. I do love the sound of the off road h pipe and would not go back. Just expect a little torque loss. You probably do gain hp up top at higher speeds and higher rpm's. The car just drives a little different after the install. You can get gears at Gene Evans ford for $139 and they are frpp. That is a good price. I say go with off road h pipe.
