off road h-pipe=torque loss, need 4.10's ?

I just had a off road h-pipe put on with original 40 series flowmasters on a 2003 gt. I lost a good amount of torque down low. I expected it though. I have 4.10's waiting to be installed. Please tell me the 4.10's will take care of the performance loss down low and then some. If it does not I may bolt factory h-pipe back on. It just sounds so good with the off-road. Anyone gone through this ? I think the 4.10's will take care of it. I hope ! I want the sound ,but I want the performance back too. My motor is stock, with a K&N drop in air filter. What do you guys think?

I got an O/R X-Pipe on my 03, and I lost low end also, but gained a good feeling at 4500rpm. I love the sound the Flowmasters make, like you got a turbo in the muffler. Gears will definitly do the trick. Where did you get the headlight covers? Do they affect the lighting at night? How much were they?

I have to take them off at night because I cant see $h1t ! I got them at jegs
1-800-345-4545. They are very easy to take off. I think they were around $30-$35. I hope you are right about the 4.10's. My car needs more torque.

When I put my o/r pipe on the car actually pepped up a bit down low, but my stock pipe was so mucked up-the pass side would barely let any exhaust out!! It felt better but definately not up to were a "clean" stock pipe would be down low. With the o/r and 3" mac dumps this baby screams when the tach passes 3 grand. The 4.10's nullified any low end torque loss and then some.

the 4.10s will help it because it will get you out of the range where you lost the torque a lot quicker

Are your 4.10s Ford Racing? Do they wine or produce any vibration at all, even at 80Mph???
