Mufflers for stock 5.0

94 convertible with no performance upgrades . I always liked the flowmaster 40s sound . My new car has the 4 cats and some Flo pro max mufflers on it . I am thinking of cutting off back cats and keeping the H and the Flo pros on it to bring up the sounds a bit . Would this be better than putting on 40s and also cutting off the back cats ?

40s are the way to go if your stock.

If you want the 40's sound, you should put on 40-series mufflers. Cutting off cats will just make your current exhaust note louder.

It does not matter on a stock 5.0, especially if you are still going through a 2.25" stock H-pipe. Go with what sounds best to you.
