Speaking of Boogity Boogity Boogity, I heard DW was going to drive the Aarrens Dream Machine at Martinsville in July, my bet is he lasts 17 laps before he wrecks it!

I just ordered an H pipe from Brenspeed, hopefully it will be here tomorrow. Right now I am running a Bassani x pipe without the cats and MAC mufflers, and it is mighty noticable. It can sound MEAN cruising down the road, or to quote a buddy of mine "a rabid werewolf", but it is severely raspy when I get on it. I've kept it on for about a week, thinking I might be able to get used to it, but after letting a friend hot rod it so I could hear it, that was enough to push me over the fence. I could hear that tinny rattling sound more than anything But to reiterate, it can sound WICKED, but when it is not sounding like that, it sounds like a loose tin can....Hopefully the h pipe will be better.

Post back and let us know how that one sounds, My X and mufflers sounded just like yours did. (Loose Tin Can) I only lasted 5 days before I broke down and pulled the O/R pipe.

you guys got me worried now.i allready bought the bassani x-pipe with no cats.and i was about to buy the bassani axle-back stainless race system.i guess i need to rethink that,i dont want to end up sounding like a tin-can.you guys think that adding the hi-flow cats would help.

Keeping the cats on would definitely help, at least in my case it did. It sounded great, but once the cats came off, it must be too much flow or something that causes too much reverberation in the mufflers. However, I have heard that chambered mufflers and X pipes do not get along, and someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think the Bassani mufflers are a straight flow through design...Plus I would not think that Bassani would design components that when used together would sound like garbage.

The first thing I did with the exhaust was put the MACs on. After awhile I ordered the x pipe and had the cats on for a few months. Then I decided to try it without the cats and now I don't want them back on, it really amped up the volume. I am just hoping I can rid myself of that annoying sound with the h pipe thats supposed to be here today! Because I really like the mufflers and do not want to switch those....
