I just got a '93 GT and since it has the AOD I really would rather go X than H for that tiny bit more HP and I prefer the sound also.

My question is will I have any fitment issues with the AOD and the X pipe? I never had any issues on new edge's with AOD, but the pan on the 5.0 trans seems larger and back further.

Just wanting to be sure before I order one. I was going to go with the Jeg's adjustable X pipe

Universal fit X pipes are likely to give you fitment issues- a Fox body aod specific set up should be mostly hassle free

Yeah I just haven't found one that says aod specific...a few say 5 speed only but not many...and I really don't want to spend a ton of money on an off road pipe. lol

I have a offroad bassani x-pipe and a deep pan on my AOD, and I don't have any fitment issues.

The power difference is really minimal. I've seen a few dynos where it was a 2HP difference or so on well modified cars. IMHO, not worth it if fit is a major concern to you.

The HP is part of it, but I really like the sound of a X-pipe with dumped Flowmasters....just a little different than the usual H
