Hey, I was actually just bombing around some fairly old mags in my room... (i like to clean up the place every other millenia or so) and i came across a Road & Track mag from September 2002. (See, it was around the new millenia).

In it, of course, showed their drawing concepts of the 2004 and a half Ford Mustang rebirth (the new 2005s)
Just seeing their original drawing is pretty scary to be honest... it's pretty close to the release version.

But anyway, to my question... I saw a concept of the apparently new Toyota 395/Supra. Hmph... interesting. It's almost 2005, 3 years ago... come on, wtf! I would have assumed by chance something would have spawned about that production BY NOW!
I'm a Mustang lover through and through... but i've always been a sucker for a supra.
Has anyone heard anything substantial about the new car? Just thought I'd ask is all...

Oh, and I picked up my saleen chrome wheels... eta: October 28th (i'm still gitty)

Latz,

Doug

Well, I have heard of some rumours, but of course nothing in terms of real production...

Supra Concept

Supra Concept 2

Here are some concept pics i've just found...
the headlights would have to go.
but someone please inform toyota that they need to start remaking that car.
While you're at it, tell dodge to get their butts in gear for their stealth
and pontiac that they didn't properly redesign their gto
:p

I have a few relatives that work for Toyota. They do have plans to put a Supra, OR a car similar back into production. Last I heard Toyota was looking to creating a new car with a new name. The current claims are that the new car will surpass the old supra's performance. Toyota is a hard company to figure it when it comes to their product line. When they finally introduced an 8 cylinder motor in their full sized trucks, they had that motor design for a very long time. Toyota has been racing that motor offroad for as long as I can remember. Why they waited so long to put the motor into a production vehicle must have something to do with the crazy marketing schemes they come up with.
