Official 2006 NFL Thread

Even if Chicago does come back it would only prove that Arizona does not know how to put a team away and that they are not the caliber of team that everyone thought they were. They have showed every coach in the NFL enough film in this game to pick apart that defense. Only a matter of which coach's can take advantage of that. I know belichick will when the time comes in November.

kicker choked, bears should have lost. Against a better caliber team they would have lost. Arizona just does not know how to put a game away. The bears 1st loss is comming in due time especially after everyone reviews this game film.

Arizona gave this game up when the kept kicking field goals and not putting up Touchdowns. They could not put the bears away when they needed to. They had the nail in the coffin, just no one droped the hammer down on it.

This was an absolute horrible performance by:

Chicago Offense (all facets)
Zona's inability to punch it into the endzone when it mattered.
Zona special teams
Edge or lack there of(although expected against Chi)
And most off all Neil Rackers (didn't this guy lead the league not too long ago in kicking points?)

Good notes!

Chicago's offense clearly fell back to earth. Start studying NFL.
Matt Leinart is going to be great, a solid performance.
And Denny's post game press conference! Classic stuff right there. I just dont know how he kept it together as much as he did:mad: I would imagine the locker room is a fn mess!

Zona has Oakland next week! Might be a good time to pick Oakland on your cards:rolleyes:

lol one game and we say he is a bust and he argues with us but one game for the good and hes bragging lol love how this football stuff works if they have a good game there great if they have a bad game then they suck lol. but im glad the steelers got another win there better then a 1 win team.
Um dude, check Ben's stats for his career. He has had more than one good game. YOU guys wrote him off after three. IF I am not mistaking, He DID win his first 13 starts and was the youngest QB to win a SB.

Idont know what got into Pittsburgh the last three weeks that they played before Sunday, but I hope it stays away. I mean, they beat the Chiefs who going into the game had the 4th ranked D in the NFL. KC isn't a great team by any means, but they are a good team. And it's not like they won 23-21 or anything like that. That game was over 5 min in. Basiclly, they looked liek the team of last year when they destroyed teams like, Denver and the best game of the year, The playoff game in Indy.

That game was as much of a guaranteed win for them as the 1st game for the Saints in the Superdome this yr. 3 losses in a row comming back home to heinz field against the Chief's. I mean the odds of them winning that game were about the same as the odd's of buster douglas beating Mike Tyson.

Well now the defending superbowl champions have 2 wins half way through the regular season. Could be worse right
ummmm, they played 5 games, las time I checked, teams in the NFL DO play more than 10 games a year :D

To be honest, I didnt have a doubt that they would win this game and you can check my posts from earlier.

1. The O line showed up. Plain and simple, they sucked In SD.
2. the catches on 2nd and 6 and littel ones that add up that they didnt' make before, were made. Hence opening up the running game and putting them in better position on 3rd down.
4. Troy's shoulder seems to be healed. No brace this week and he was a MONSTER. By far the Best defensive palyer in the NFL when he is healthy. Ask the Colts about that.
5. The play calling wasn't what it was in SD. 1st down-run, 2nd down-run, 3rd down-pass. The play calling was great.
6. THEY FINISHED THE GAME. it wasn't a first half victory and pack it in after that. IT was punishment from the opening kickoff. Just liek last year. Next week is Atlanta. No one has been able to run on Pittsburgh this year for 100 yards. This will be a big test.

Why To Watch
This divisional matchup is extremely important for both teams. If the Bills can bounce back at home with a win over the Patriots, it will keep their hopes alive for a playoff spot. The Patriots need a win to keep pace with some of the better AFC teams such as the Broncos, Chargers, Colts and Jaguars. Because the AFC East is so weak, New England is working to position itself for the best playoff slot possible
