I went to the Steelers training camp practice today. Ben looks steller. I thought with what happend he would look rusty a bit. Guy looks in mid season form. The whole team looked tight. I am so stoked for this year.

know what would be ironic, if he had a season ending injury during pratice meanwhile he walks away from motorcycle accident mostly unscaved aside from a few missing chicklets. Saves the trouble of having Teddie Bruschi knock them out I guess

That's cruel. I just hope the Browns are competitive so the Browns Steelers rivalry becomes what it once was. My prediction for this year is 8-8 and I think we fonally have enough talent to at least split with the steelers this year. It hurts me to say it but I think the Steelers will win the division and the Browns, Cincy and Baltimore will have just about the same record give or take a few games.

How is that cruel? Just the facts man. I pull for the Browns when they are not playing the Steelers. Trust me, people in Pittsburgh were pissed when Cleveland was sold overnight. It's just something that every year their best prospect goes down before the first snap of the season.

Your right that is the facts but man are we tired of it. It is good to hear that Pittsburgh cared when that happened. The rivalry really has not been the same since. Now that we are finally on the right track hopefully the rivalry will be renewed. I can't wait until the season starts.

Cleveland Browns are a cursed team thats all, every year some BS injury. I bet the whole steelers team could go skydiving w/o parachutes, smack right into the ground, dust themselves off and go have tea.

Well if they all have the same records then Cincy will win the division again.

Oh and before someone says what about Palmer he's playing in the team scrimmage Friday night so unless Kimo von Olhoffen shows up at camp and takes him out again I'd expect him to start Opening Day. I think that's pretty bad news for the rest of the division. I honestly believe Cleveland will improve and beat out Baltimore for scrubs of the division. Should have a decent air attack and the defense is improved.

Nah better to keep him standing- he'll throw more INT's that way....(Favre that is)Used to want him out anyway possible for having the Bears number year in and year out, now I just want to see him humbled and realize he is past his prime, and not the savior GB thinks he is...

Can they overcome all the off the field distractions? I think the division will be won be won by the steelers, if Palmer is healthy and they can get past all the felonies they will be very competitive. If Palmer has any set backs and and they can't overcome all the distractions the Steelers will run away with the division, or the Browns will win it all. A fan can hope can't he.

All I can say about the distractions is that it's more of a myth created by the national media than it is reality. TO is a way bigger distraction than anything that has happened in Cincinnati. It's not a distraction believe me.....Marvin Lewis is like Homey the Clown.....he don't play that **** either. The biggest "distraction" has been Chris Henry, the word is he has to play his way onto the team which is "Lewis speak" for you better give me a reason to keep your ass and if you screw up again your gone. He can be replaced by either Washington or Tab Perry or Chatman. So not a big deal.

Odell Thurman might get replaced by Ahmad Brooks if he's not careful. Brooks has been outstanding in camp and saying all the right things. The rumor is the Bengals are going to a 3-4 next year which would make the starting linebackers Pollack, Thurman, Brooks and Nicholson. A mighty fine corps. The defensive line has been upgraded with the addition of Sam Adams and the defensive backfield has Madieu Williams back with the addition of Dexter Jackson, makes the middle of the field somewhere you don't want to be. Cornerbacks are O'Neal and James for now with Ratliff and Jonathan Joseph as the backups. There is a reason they got all those ints last year. They have the talent in place to be a top 10 defense to match their top 3 offense. Now all they have to do is play to their talent level. But for now it "works on paper". We'll see. They close with road games at Indy and Denver and Pittsburgh at home. Tough stretch, probably all three are playoff teams.

i the 49ers will go winless and take a qb number one in the draft, in a draft year that is very thin and he will turn out to be a turd, oh wait they already did that, and still did not pick matt lienart this year when he was avalible, so another year of alex smith alternating between a severe vagina injury and not being able to play, and throwing the ball to everyone except the guys in maroon and gold, ahh yes another year in the life of a post eddie debartalo(sp) niners era, after all this is the team that brought dennis erickson back to the nfl, so anyways i will root for the my local team the Hawk's until the niners stop sucking, becuase it is hard to watch a team you love lose so many games, with a qb who's passer rating is lower than his jersey #(he may just be the mormon version of ryan leaf)

no doubt Cinci has the talent. IT's like the Oilers in the 70's. Probably the 2nd best team in the AFC, but Pittsburgh was more experienced and in their prime. Not saying that is the case now, but Cinci needs to get over teh hump in the Playoffs, much like the Colts. Lewis didnt handle the whole playoff media thing well at all. By keeping the guys on lockdown killed the rythem. And of course Palmer getting hurt didnt help things either. But that could have gone either way too. Cinci is this close to being a dominate team. On paper, they are. But it has to be proven on game day.

Exactly my feelings. And avoid the major catastrophic injury like what Palmer suffered in the playoffs. I'm going down to the scrimmage tonight so I'll see first hand how Palmer looks. The video tape I've seen he looks just like last year on his drops.

You may have a differing opinion on this since your in Pittsburgh and have a different perspective but us folks here in Cincy along with the team, believe it's a foregone conclusion we would have won that game if Palmer wouldn't have been taken out. But that's one of those coulda shoulda woulda deals but it has a lot of bearing on this season. Motivation is hard to come by these days in professional sports but I believe the Bengals have found some. I also think a lot of people across the nation have a perception of the Bengals that is born on their past. These ain't your Dad's Bengals anymore.
Anyway good luck with your Steelers. I can hardly wait until Sept 24th, how about you?
