The problem with Favre is that its not his line, not his recievers, he is getting up there in years. Its almost being greedy to hold back the team. But I like Bret, he is a good guy. So we will see if he fairs better this year.

I've always liked Denver as one of my side teams on the AFC and John Elway will go down as my favorite QB for leaving when it was time. Yes it makes it alot more easy when you win 2 rings in your last 2 yrs but he could have gone for 3 but he knew it was time and he left the game a legend, not a has bin.

yes john elway stepped out at the perfect time he was a great qb. i believe brett would have left last year if they would have had a better record i mean seriously if u was him would u want ur last year in the league to be your worst? i know i sure wouldnt.

yeah thats hard to step away on your worst performance ever. Although its going to be hard for him to have the "good enough" season for him to be ok with calling it quits. Hes getting up there in age and he can still get the job done but what will this yr yeild? How well will his recivers and front line preform? I dont see him having that much better of a season in able to step away and be happy with it.

We see it all to often of big name star althleats staying just a few yrs to long....Michale Jordon... Jerry Rice... Legands in their own time, but left their respective games washed up has bins.
