• More on Busch: After he wrecked his primary car in practice Saturday morning, NASCAR officials and members of Busch's Joe Gibbs Racing team kept both cameras and fellow competitors away from the front end of Busch's wrecked Camry. Supposedly the JGR guys have a special front-suspension setup that is a big part of why Busch is so fast these days and they didn't want anyone to spend too much time checking it out.

I think Jr. is doing exactly what he needs to do to position himself for a cup championship. Damn right he's running laps because that's what you HAVE to do in order to ensure you're in the running for the chase once those first 26 races are out of the way. In the first 14 point races thus far this season he's had six top 5's, and four top 10's finishes. He's 2nd in total laps led thus far.

I can't believe people expect even more from him... the dude is kicking ass overall.

well, Jr just got his first win for HMS. Since it was a fuel mileage win like Jimmie got back in Phoenix, is it legit? Many people digged on the 48 team for winning on fuel mileage

crazy ending, exciting!

Jr sure looks happy and relieved. Got that evil monkey off his back

That was a good ending, nice to see JR finally get his first win with Hendrick. Bet that puts some good pressure on jeffy boy


My two guys finished well, Stewart in 5th and Edwards in 7th

It wasn't pretty, but it is a win. Jr did not have the fastest car today, however in the long runs he was as good as anybody out there. The ending was quite the nail biter and even my old lady was on her feet cheering Jr on after the re-start.

good thing for that caution like he said, he wouldn't have made it w/ having to run the car at close to full speed for those remaining laps. Being able to shut the car off helped a lot. He didnt even make it to his pit w/ out running out of gas at the end. Funny how the commentators said the caution was bad then JR gets out of the car and said thank god for that caution

On a side note I like the TNT crew much better then the FOX crew. I cant stand Darrel Waltrip. Even though I like the TNT crew better I still dont know why Kyle petty is a commentator, what the hell has he ever accomplished in Nascar aside from having the last name of petty?

Congrats to Kyle! He sure showed those "Ringers" how to man-handle a NASCAR around a road corse. He earned that win. I was suprised Jr was able to salvage a 12th place. He's not all that gifted when he has to turn right ocassionally.

Stewart and Edwads did alright, Im surperised w/ JR's placing as well. Hes not a strong road course racer. Glad to see Gordon was no where up front

did you watch any of the prerace stuff with Jr? He went to some National Guard base and was shooting some guns. Pretty cool

It was funny listening to him talk about the race before it started, more or less saying how much he disliked the road race.

Stewies comments after the race were great. That TNT reporter was egging him on about being wrecked two weeks in a row and Stewie was like "I already told you, I haven't seen the replay. I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. Don't put words in my mouth" it was great

I used to like the road races, but man, 2 cars led all but a handful of laps. There was no passing for the lead. KyBu started what, 38th?, and won because of a stupid caution during green flag pit stops.. f road courses

Man, Juan Pablo made about 1000000000 new fans today by taking out KyBu during caution. If you didn't see it, wow... it was something else. KyBu was visibly shaken during the interview. I guess Joe Gibbs has him on a short leash cause man, he was holding back.

But **** man, JPM was like "yeah, I did that"

I hate the F'ing idiot for doing that. He takes out way to many other drivers on purpose. I dont care who it is, thats just not something you do do any other driver when its that blatant and w/ out provocation.
