Official " I'm a college kid, please donate any parts thread" lol

Notice needy mr. 2 post mxer24 is no where to be found. Hmmmm.

Thats because people like grey50beast,mustangjoe,MACn89',steedaGT,and 25thand alot of others including myself work our a$$es off to make our cars streetable and fun but yet you don't see us starting threads like donate parts, or give us money. Its people like him that make us younger ones look bad because of what flavadave said "everyone is looking for a job, but nobody is looking for work", but then those of us that like to work or actually work are screwed because of people like Mxer24 who probly go to work and slack all day. Just like Grey50beast i work 2 jobs (make pizza at dominos, and help my brother with his hardscapes company(manual labor) and im a junior in highschool.

Sorry its just kids like this piss me off because they expect $hit to be given to them by people or there daddies.

END RANT!!

and i know alot of you probly agree with me

I concur. :nice:

I work two & 1/2 jobs. I work my @ss off to be where I am, and work even harder for my Stang. A lot of turkey sammiches for lunch, instead of going out to eat.

Not many things are handed to you in life. Especially, parts for your ride. Personally, I feel that the advice one can receive here to be priceless and I feel that is enough.

Construction does it for me too...ive been doing it for four summers now, each one has a raise with it too! It should lead me to a bangin job when i get my arch. degree in a few years, then you guys will see.....you'll know my car better than...sureshot's and underpressure's combined!! :SNSign:

I started i High School with an AOD, 2.73s and Dynomax Super Turbos as the only mod!

I did Valet parking for $10-15 an hour, Landscaping for $15, and worked at a gokart track (from 16 till this year) for $7-11 an hour. A lot of that time I had two of the jobs, but during the winter only really did the Valet work. College is tough living there and trying to work, not to mention keeping a good GPA for scholarships...

I actually just got a job as a draftsman for an Architectural firm. 2 days a week 8-5 right now, and when I graduate in May, fulltime with all the benefits! No idea on pay, Ive been there 3 days counting today!

first off to those people who think i dont work or some stuff like that . believe me, i work

i play d1 soccer, broke my face. yes broke my face in a soccer game, had surgery and got titanium into my face. so school and soccer take up weekends and time.

as for working, i have been reffing soccer games since i was 12 making cash for my first car which was an 86 Notch. When i turned 14 i started working at autobody shops in sayreville nj, Walter's Auto Body. Now, i have been working at Custom Auto Body and Detailing, and often pull 9 Am to 9PM days, so please dont say i dont work. Recently i had to train home from the city becasue my boss severely cut his hand and i had to work on a 94 mack lowboy truck and a jaguar xk. so please when people say i dont work or infer that, it angers me. but wasnt starting a flame war.

as for everyone, especially you older mustang-ers, how did you guys build cars when you were young back in the day, when cash is scarce and time is precious?

i been work longer days than alot of people, and i am not ragging and stuff. i just get really angered when people say i dont work then start talking like o where is mr. 2 post mxer24. first off i was home, working. second off im at school, in engineering school and its not by any means easy. as for posts, i am always on picking up as much knowledge as i can. so be easy.

i got a titanium plate in my head lol....except mine was from a baseball and i was told if it had been an inch over i would have been dead

Man, I am not gonna flame but if you work hard enough you will get what you want. Is soccer paying your way through college? If not, quit and work more if the car is that important. Trust me, I make $12 per hour, support myself, my fiance who is in college and not working at this time and 2 kids. My rent is $900 per month and about $500-600 in utilities. Thats not including either phone bill, groceries or insurance for 2 cars. Now if I can afford to put some cash into my car to make it "fun and reliable" anyone can man. And if I had extras just laying around I would send them. We just moved from MO to KS and I left a stock but ported upper and lower intake and a few other misc. parts (actually forgot them) How about you start a new thread about what you need for the car and everyone can see if they have the parts you need and maybe cut you a good deal on some stuff. Just an idea man. Good luck!

How did I do it? I worked all the time, bought stuff used, and did my own work on the car. Its easy to do and I agree it seemed like a joke to me, as the same with my post! Oh well, just work hard, earn as much as you can (without losing your mind) and enjoy the car. I have had a car down for nearly 2 years and regret doing what I did with it!
