about that ticket. I paid for a lawyer. He said that he had another case in another city and would change the court date and told me to call him tomorrow for the new date. well, the original date was today. he didnt change the court date and neither of us showed. I have a suspended license and a warrant for my arrest. And like I said in the other topic reckless driving is a misdemeanor in Virginia so its not like a petty thing. Ill be turning myself in shortly.

Call both the DA and your attorney. Preferably your attorney first and smack some sense into him and MAKE HIM CALL the DA and tell them what happened and have him call you back after he's called and straightened crap out with them. If you don't get ahold of him call the DA from a cellphone or payphone away from your house and let them know what happened. I say that just because sometimes days are slow and they might be willing to make an arrest for a traffic violation warrant.

this thread make me laugh.

i had a warrant out for me for 2 weeks before my lawyer told me to turn myself in. i would never turn myself in over a traffic ticket. and btw i got into trouble for b/c my roommate stole an atv and i didnt say anything about it even though he told me he bought it. gotta love our legal system. just b/c someone you know did something wrong they think you were in on it.:notnice:

Lawyers F you everytime. My mom lost a no lose case because of an incompentent lawyer. There was no evidence, no eye witness, and nothing to pinpoint it was her dog that ate another ladies dog. Our dog didn't have blood on him, and he never pooped out pieces of another dog. My mom ending up paying out $6500 to the woman, then another $3000 for the lawyer.

Instead of shooting up schools, why don't these nuts shoot up law firms?

I have some friends in Germany. Maybe they can smuggle you into Switzerland for awhile. Bring $$$

Bingo! This happens more often than you guys would think (lawyers telling clients not to show up then not showing up themselves.) Also, you will have a pretty low bond set Im sure so if it does come down to turning yourself in call the jail first and ask how much your bond is set at so you can take it with you. Chances are either way youre not gonna sit in jail.
