i just noticed while my car was warming up that there are little splatters of what appears to be oil coming out of my tail pipe does anyone have any idea what this could be?? i guess that's why i'm having a problem with keeping oil in the car...
btw i just installed a new head gasket due to a faulty thermostat

May be wrong but I highly doubt that oil could make it out the pipes...long way to go, and would take a considerable amount of oil to do so. Any smoke...and if so what color?

Dark/blue smoke is oil and white foggy smoke could be coolant. Have you checked for leaks anywhere else? How often do you usually have to refill the oil?

Did you use sealant on the studs?

I have had this problem before I feel your pain.

Is there oil in the intake?

Could be coming in through the pcv or getting past an exhaust valve, or via the TB/VC hose? Could be that overheating caused some other damage?

Good luck

The black you see could also be carbon from inside the exhaust pipes, but if you're losing oil, and recently did headgaskets, I'd do compression and leakdown tests ASAP, to make sure you're not losing oil into the combustion chambers.
