i use the fram tough guard in my truck. read an article somewhere saying its not a bad filter compared to the cheaper fram's

never had bad luck with fram either. knock on wood.

Why would someone make a thread like this, not to mention it's been covered 5.2 million times. You get 200 different answers and they all think they're right. Too funny.

i dont think anyone has said there right or wrong just what they use. and some say why they do or dont use this type.

Here's a good example of different oil for different applications.....

10w30 Valvoline DuraBlend in the 4.6L Bullitt / 23k miles
5w20 Motorcraft Synthetic in the 4.6L Roush / 7k miles
5w30 Valvoline in the 4.0L Sport Trac / 49k miles

But always Motorcraft Filters

I see you replied to it again? So how many times have you seen it and have you replied to it 5.3 millon times Anyways i run castrol oil and the motocraft filters. In my 95 i ran amsoil and motorcraft filters. Just getting opinons. peace

Another vote for Amsoil!!

In my daily drivers I run Wal Mart synthetic that is made by Pennzoil/Quakerstate and is under $15 for a 5qt jug. And Walmart filter that is made by Champion Labs or a Motocraft filter.
