I have a 98 Cobra and lately I have been having some erratic idle problems. Some days it would be fine, some days it would be all over the place. I tried every trick I know of...cleaned mass air meter, idle air control valve, adjusted throttle position sensor, etc... I then figured I would clean out my intake. (My car has 82000 miles on it.) I took off my upper intake cover and found some oil in there. Not just black residue - drops of oil. I have been noticing more oil consumption lately - I would change my oil and get only 3 to 4, sometimes 5 quarts out. (My engine takes 6 quarts.) I use nothing but Mobil 1 synthetic, so I wanna know where all this $4.50 per quart oil is going.
