Anybody have any ideas about replacing the oil pan gasket on a 2002 3.8l without having to remove the engine?

Remove the gas cap and place another car underneath it ? Have someone else do it ? Some thing a man must do alone, the quicker you start, the quicker you are done. I did the lament and dread and it took more time than the actual job...seriously this time, don't try to stay clean and jump in - you DO love your stang, right ??

The Ford service manual says basically to support the motor and drop the K-member. There's a step by step process in the Ford service manual.

loosen up the motor mounts
get a cherry picker or transmission stand or blocks put under the tranny closes to the motor
slightly lower the car
don't have to move it a lot just enough to bypass the syphen inside the oil pan

no they don't make a gasket for this so I used rtv black sealant, scrape off all the old gaskets, clean it with brake cleaner, apply the new sealant let it set up for 45 sec apply the bolts tighten accordingly criss cross pattern be good to go
