Hey guys I have a 65 with a 351w. Im about to replace the oil pan gasket, because I put a new timing chain cover on and the whole cut the old gaskets and put the new pieces on just isnt working out for me, leaking bad.

I know the crossmember has to be removed but I am hearing different things about the front suspension. What all has to be removed to drop the oil pan. I am pretty new to working on cars so all advice will be appreciated.

It is pretty easy if you do it right. Here is an article I wrote when I dropped my 65's 351w oil pan (with lots of pics):
