I notice my oil pressure (stock guage) seems to jump up and down in no specific pattern, just randomly... It stays b/w 2 lines though, so its not going from REALLY HIGH to REALLY LOW. Its in a safe range, it just jumps around???

Doesnt do it all the time though...

Pro'lly the gauge. At least yours moves. So with the motor at one given RPM, the needle will move? Funky.

Toss a real gauge on (at least for a day to monitor it) at see what gives.

Good luck bud.

no it moves without anything happening in the motor, it wont move in any pattern.
It just randomly moves. I mean it still reads my oil pressure, its just jumps around a bit while doing it....

Have you tossed a new sender on?

How about ohming out the stock sending wire (to see if it has chafed and has some sort of short - grounding the sender wire should peg it).

Not much else I can think of. A new guage is so much easier (I know - I hate people who answer like that, but sometimes it is just easier).

Good luck.

Well my car has an aftermarket harnes on it, it didnt have the wires for oil pressure or temp etc.

So we ran a wire from the oil press wire to the sending unit and used a metal thing that fits snug over the thing.

Maybe its not making agood connection??
