Oil Pressure Question...Is this normal?

I put a new DSS Pro Bullet 306 in my car a few months ago. It's runs great so far, but ever since I put it in I've been concerned about the oil pressure. I'm using a standard volume Melling pump, Moroso 7 qt pan, and 10w-40 oil. At cold start-up I'm seeing about 55-60 psi. At hot idle I'm getting about 25 psi. When hot, max psi is about 50. Guage is an Autometer electric. I am going to try putting a mechanical on it, but I'm pretty sure the guage is accurate. I'm starting to wonder because I just put a CHP 306 in a buddy's car and it reads 75 psi cold with the same oil pump and same electric guage. What kind of readings do you guys get? Maybe the DSS is built a little loose? They recommend Shell 15w-40, so I might try that.

I asked them about the numbers a while back. I think I'm still within the normal range, but I'm on the very low end of the spectrum. I'm gonna switch to the 15w-40 on my next oil change

Anyone else have some oil pressure numbers that I can compare mine to? I'm just curious what kind of pressure other people are getting. I would feel a lot better if I was getting more like 60 psi at WOT instead of 50 psi.
