Oil Pressure??

rebuild mine would be better, that way i dont have to have to take the heads of. ****ing bull****

If you do a rebuild .... you WILL have to take the heads back off, lol.

I'm thinking that MAYBE some of the shavings/chunks of metal that went into your oil pan may have went and clogged your oil screen. If I were you, before pulling the engine, I'd at least just pull the screen & pump out and check it out.

How long (total) have you ran the engine with low oil pressure like that? Has it seen high RPM's like that?

I wish you the best of luck bro. Keep them bullets away!

This can be a little tough .... but better than pulling the engine, IMO. But that's totally up to you. If this sounds TOO complicated ... just pull the entire engine.

If you want to do it without pulling the engine .....

Drain oil.

Unbolt motor mounts.

Jack engine up as high as possible. Use engine hoist or a jack with a wood block under engine. DO IT SLOWLY & watch for any ground wires, etc. that may be too short for you to keep jacking. Remove them if they are. Then get engine as high as possible. Tranny mount and exhaust may need to be unbolted to do this as well.

Place a piece of 4x4 wood under each motor mount.

Unbolt oil pan. I believe a couple of bolts may be into your main caps.

Slide pan out. K-member will make this tough .... but it's possible.

Unbolt & remove oil pump.
