oil pressure

as i posted up before like 4 days ago my oil pressure guage was lowerer than normal well know its all th way down its way pass the red part i dnt know if its the gause or the oil pump my oil filter or the oil
but if its my oil pump how much would i be looking at ass much ass to how much to replace it or get it fixed

Put a mechanical gauge on it before assuming anything. You could have a bad sending unit, or even bad gauge.

im new to this whole oil pressure thing its never happen to me
so wat im realy trying to say is wats a bad sending unit and wat does it do

The sending unit tells your gage how much oil pressure there is. If it malfunctions, the gage will read incorrectly. Since the gage has no numbers, it is little better than an idiot light and only really tells you whether there is some oil pressure or none at all. That is why you should test the pressure with a good aftermarket gage before assuming it's a problem with the engine.
