*To start off, I have a 1994 gt if it matters* My oil pressure is high when my speed is up but when I come to a stop the needle goes all the way in between the N and the line in NORMAL than it goes back up high again. What is going on here?

There is no need for high oil pressure at idle speeds. A thicker oil may help this though, and it wouldn't be a bad idea with summer coming around. The OEM guages are known for being inaccurate, but as long as you don't hear the lifters rattling, there is oil being circulated.

Best thing to do is to get away from the OEM gauges and get something like AutoMeter.

A general rule of thumb is at least 10 psi for each 1000 rpm (60 psi at 6000), with at least 20-25 at hot idle. But you have another issue - you don't really know what your pressure is with the stock gauge. You only know the needle is moving around. I'd invest in a quality oil pressure gauge so you know what you're dealing with. Only then can you begin to diagnose oil pressure issues - you may find you have no problem at all. Get a good sender/gauge.
