I will be installing a new oil pump shaft tonight cause the other dropped into oil pan. I need to know which way to install the shaft. Does the pointed end go up towards the dizzy or to the oil pump?? Thanks for help guys!!
It goes up to the DIS. I have a arp shaft that is marked with an arrow and up written on it. The point goes up. Flat goes to the pump. The point lets you stab the dis. from the top with out hanging up. Hope this helps.
