I just finished dropping in a 91 302 carbed motor in a 68 coupe. My question is can I use this oil sender switch(lights) image attached or do I need to go with the older 68 fitting (hex pipe) and sender unit (gauge).

If you have an oil warning light, then you would use the low oil pressure switch you show.

If you have a gauge you would use an oil pressure sending unit:

The purpose of the hex extention is to bring the sender out away from the oil filter and fuel pump to a location where you can get to it. You may get the smaller switch in there, but I think the bigger sender would hit without the extension.
