Recently, an oil cooler w/dual remote oil filters was installed.
There is a need to monitor the oil temps after the the oil cooler.
Now just for giggles there was a water/oil temp gauge bought and t-ed off the one of the lines, the gauge is hooked up correctly but I am not getting a temp reading from the sender wich is a short sweep sender.
A better gauge was bought and installed, all 13.8 volts reading from the + and -. 3.8 volts reading from the sender wire.
My question, is the oil taking a really long time to get above 100 degrees F, or the sender malfuntioning, or and its just in a bad spot.
Mind you that spot takes a long time to get hot, just very warm to the touch after driving to walmart in back, roughly a 10 minute drive.
Doesn't the Electric oil/temp sender sends readings by decreacing ohms with the temperature increase?
