Currently in the state of TX, Please avoid all of the lonely back roads while I'm living here. Your blood pressure and my fun will both be greatly improved

I also noticed a little hood flutter at around 110 mph. then I found a solution, I took it up to 140 mph and it stopped moving

I think 60 Minutes did a report once on drivers like this. Do they allow Mustangs in prison??

I dont know why you bought this car if you didnt plan on seeing what car can do at least once. You are probably the type of person that buy's a 4x4 truck and you never have any intention of taking it of off road. Did you just buy your mustang for the badges (GT)?

No. I just believe in obeying the law. Speed kills. If you want to drive over the speed limit, do it on the track. Is seeing what your Mustang will do worth someone's life?
It really is that simple.
After you kill someone, do you say "sorry, I was just seeing what my Mustang would do."
If you want to drive over the speed limit, take it to the track where it is legal. I can't believe any reasonable person would argue otherwise. And to brag about driving such speeds on a public forum is not too wise.

I am sure that these reasionable people that you speek of have never speed either.

By the way I did not say that i was doing 140 throught the middle of a city. I go to roads that are not heavily populated.

Last time I was on that part of I95 I was doing 85 MPH in the right lane and nearly got run off the road because I was going too slow.

I think this thread has run its course. The last thing we need is a penis wagging contest about how fast you went on a public road/highway/freeway/etc.

All it takes is a small piece of debris or the failure of a $2 part and you become a statistic. Hopefully your ass clownery doesn't make a statistic of anyone else.

140 mph is 205 feet per second. To think you can drive safely at that rate on public road (ie condition unknown) is a serious error in judgment.

Consider the affect of a rock, tree branch, dead animal, car part (I've seen a a spark plug in a tire during a track session), or any of the other numerous things that can be found on a road.

Consider the affect of any number of parts that could fail on your car

Consider the affect of the many number of situations that could lead to another vehicle, pedestrian, bicyclist, etc

The jails and courts are full of people who didn't think about these possibilities before seeing what their mass produced, assembly line, assembled with cheap parts, performance car could do
