Goodyear F1 GS-D3. Great tire they hook in a straight line and hold the corners.

Kumho 711's 245/45/17.......They're decent but im gonna get some nitto's for the rear

They're not cheap, but I'm running Michelin Sport Pilots - 225/50 VR16's. Great wet and dry traction, just a fabulous tire. I guess you get what you pay for.

I like my Kumho 712 tires (255/45/17). They sure stick, and are dirt cheap to boot. Not an all season tire for sure.

I love my Continental Conti-Extreme Contacts. 245-50-16 all the way around on my ponies, nice dry traction, nice wet traction, nice snow traction, definetly a great all season tire.

i run BFG radial T/A's. only because they are cheap and i only insure my car for the spring to fall and i use the rear set up in those few short months. When i drage race i have my 26x10.5 inch slicks. the T/A's are nice in dry weather but they suck in the rain. They hook-up fairly nice on the street im sure nothing as nice at the nitto tires but i love to do burn outs and dounuts (installed a line loc and have many nice video's to prove it works well) so T/A's for the price suit my needs.

Wow u guys run 245s in the front too? how weird does that look? right now i have 225s in the front and 245s in the back and cant get any traction in any gear but 4th when im stepping on it. thats how bad my tires are. i think im sold on yokohama avs es100s...i know they wont last long...but hey theres a problem if any tire we put on lasts long. well see how they hold up the first week. thanks everyone.

225-50-16 Dunlop SP Sport 8000's. $109 a piece. Sticky in dry and wet conditions. Great tire. Lasted 30k with many strip passes. Speaking of tires, anyone had experience with Kumho Ecsta MX's. Time to get tires and was going to try something a little smoother than Z rated tires.

I have to give a thumbs up for Sumitomo. They have good traction and last forever. I got almost the same 60ft times with the Sumitomo tires as I did using BFG drag radials but the drag radials only lasted about 7k miles.

The 555 isn't a drag radial, the 555R is.

I have bald cheap ass Daytona tires. Doesn't take much to hook w/ a mostly stock car with 2.73's though. Got chrome ponies on the way, I may look into the BFG KDW's. Kinda want some Nitto d/r's in the back though. Only problem is I gotta explain to my dad WHY I want nittos for the back. He'll think I'm racing or something, which sucks. He just doesn't get the stang thing.

Ughh! Those are the worst tire I have ever used (Gatorbacks are a close second)! They were on the car when I bought it - I couldn't wait to get rid of them!

I really liked the Toyo proxy T1-S. It is a great tire that does really well for cornering, drag, and wet weather. The T1-S also has a good tread life. For dry weather i recomend Nitto 555R tires or Toyo RA-1s. They will only last around 10k miles though.

Nitto - just a fad name. I can't think of one auto-X or OT driver that uses these. Better traction through marketing...

Dunlop tires - feel like plastic, bad traction when cold and suicidal when wet. 2nd worst tire ever used. (Cooper will always rank #1 POS tire in my book)

BF Goodrich - treads peeled off and marginal traction in any condition.

Firestone Firehawks - OK tire, not bad but you can do better for less $$$.

Kumho - Supra 712's = best tire for $ (IMO). When its dry they stick very well. When it is raining these tires really shine and give you much more confidence driving. If you want better handling, bump up the tire pressure a bit and have fun!

Now these tire will not last as long as some others, that's the trade-off between longevity and traction. But at around $100> a tire, who cares? To get the performance of these or the other Kumho tires (Ecsta MX's) you have to nearly pay double and you still get the same tread-life.

The real clincher for this tire is how well it does when it is raining. There may be a tire or 2 that performs on the street a bit better than the 712's but when the weatherman says 10% chance of rain and its comming down in buckets, you'll thank yourself.

Besides, Kumho is a company that is very much involved in auto-x and road racing and those R&D technologies trickle down to their passenger tires. Those races go on rain or shine...can't say the same with drag racing or oval.

Where did ya get your Kumhos for a 100 a pop? I need tires very shortly, and it's BFG KDW's or the Kumho 712's. I heard Kumho sticks really good for the price, so I believe I will head down that road on my budget.
