Now these tire will not last as long as some others, that's the trade-off between longevity and traction. But at around $100> a tire, who cares? To get the performance of these or the other Kumho tires (Ecsta MX's) you have to nearly pay double and you still get the same tread-life.
The real clincher for this tire is how well it does when it is raining. There may be a tire or 2 that performs on the street a bit better than the 712's but when the weatherman says 10% chance of rain and its comming down in buckets, you'll thank yourself.
Besides, Kumho is a company that is very much involved in auto-x and road racing and those R&D technologies trickle down to their passenger tires. Those races go on rain or shine...can't say the same with drag racing or oval.
