You obviously never driven an AMG, increadible, all the doo-dahs are unimaginable, air vents in the headrest, sound system is simply amazing, navigation with steering wheel controls, you can also display several parameters of the car, eg g forces, both later and accel/braking, etc, etc.

I'll post some more pics tomorow of the inside and stuff.

We went out to just "test drive" cars today and ended up getting another german car. Told myself after the M roadster "no more german cars" but I guess wimin can be pretty persuasive sometimes

2005 SLK55 AMG
5.5L V-8
355 hp @ 5,750 rpm
376 lb-ft @ 4,000 rpm
7 Speed Auto

We test drove a bunch of cars today, Porsches Carrera S and Boxster S, C6 Corvette Z51, and a used 03 viper SRT-10. I wanted to the viper but it was after we drove the Benz and she was hooked, the fact that the viper is one of the most unrefined cars I ever drove didnt help much, no power seats, no nothing on the inside crap for radio, BUT I loved the power wayyyyyy too much but the tranny shifts as good as a tractor and the wheel hop about made my teeth come loose. The porsches were crap, pure and simple, just a name to back it up and the vette was nice but they had none in black!

Very nice Paul! Watch out for rocks on the freeway.

It might be illegal, but its generally accepted in Utah. Of course there the guys have so many wives and children they cant afford things like benzos and diamonds!

Are you going there just for the diamond? If so I would think if you factored in airfare it would be about the same price. Now you have me thinking, I may just fly down there for the big ring when that day comes.

"Honey, I went all the way to south africa just to bring you this and get it way cheaper."

Have you priced a 3-4ct brilliant in the US??? The airfare is ~$1500 so if you think you can find a 3-4ct for $3000, then I have a statue in NY I can sell you. But I'm not going to go there just for that, she's originally from Cape Town and all her family lives there plus they have pretty good contacts.
