I was thinking about the trickflow intake manifold for now? i have aroud 500 to spend but what are ur opinions and what type of power gains am i looking at with this or what ever other suggesttions u give me

My plans are to go all motor for a while, maybe nitrous and im not looking for gears yet

For the money, gears will give you the best performance for the money at the drag strip on a stock motor.

Just adding an intake w/o headers better cam etc won't help much. Do some research. There are several kits that offer complete intake, heads and cam set ups. Even if they are fox style you can use them you just need the elbow or better yet, just do what many have done and gone to the fox style TB set up too.

If I had $500 I would get gears.

But say I didn't want them. I would have Tmoss port the intake, get some pulleys, headers, and o/r x or h-pipe.

I don't think you'll be able to setup a new intake for less than $500. I would only buy the Performer or tubular GT-40. The TFS one is decent as well, but doesn't look as cool IMO.

underdrive pulleys, and a cold air intake kit from Densecharger(95.00) would be a good start,1:7 cobra rockers, then save up for some 3:73s if you have a 5 speed. It goes on and on from there....

With the exhaust you did, she's breathing much better...a Tmoss lower will work...Iv'e done his lowers twice, for the money you really can't beat it....that exhaust, and the lower ported work well together...373s..trust us...you'll love em...that and some u/drives...she'll be a whole nother car....shop around, it can be done for 500.00...
I scammed a 4k set of 373s for 100.00 in the classifieds...pulleys are cheap money to...

Gears!!! I only dropped 1mpg and don't it miss one bit. Plus, it never bogs in 1st or 2nd anymore. I drive on the highway (no stop-n-go traffic) about 20min each way to work and love the fact that I don't have to drop it to 3rd to pass.
