Well I went to a place in Santa Clara CA called Apex motorsports this weekend (they specialize in tuning late model mustangs). My brother had an appointment to get his S/C'd 94 lightning dynoed. We show up about half hour early and see nothing but late model vettes and a single LS1 camaro outside. We go inside and talk to the guy at the desk and they had a conflict in scheduling and accidently made my brothers apt on a day that they had scheduled for a corvetteforums.com dyno day. The owner tells my brother to stick around and after they are done he can get a couple free pulls for his trouble. So as they are talking I here a rumble shake the floor. I turn around and it's a white C5 with the new C6 wheels, custom hood ect. This thing is LOUD. Not like your regular mid life crisis vette. It sounds more like a classic hotrod with a blown hemi and there's even a faint whistle above the extremely loppy idle. He backs it up onto the dyno and straps it down. He starts his pull and once it got over 4000rpms it made you cover your ears. It was crazy loud and screaming like a banshee all the while shooting thick black smoke out the tail pipes. Once he is done everyone crowds the screen to see an outrageous 637hp and 551 tq. I talk to the guy a little later and he was real cool. He sd he had about 115k tied in that car. Forged bottom end, H/C/I, ATI pro charger (whichever is the racing one) with 10 lbs of boost, full racing tranny and rear end. This thing was so sick. By far the baddest C5 I have ever seen. The rest of the cars I saw dynoed like this:

96 LT4 vette with l/t and catback 322hp (yes LT4 not LT1)
96 LT4 vette with air filter and catback 292hp
LS1 camaro with air filter and cat back 322hp
LS1 vette with catback 307hp
ZR1 vette with catback 343
70's disco vette with l/t, intake, and catback 240hp

Last but not least my brother put down a stout 354hp 430tq

ended up being a pretty fun day. :nice:

Oh and sorry no pics. I was a dumb *** and didnt bring a camera. :bang:

You might be sursprised how fast 115k can go when you buy top of the line parts ,and probably have a shop install the parts. I'm guessing the price also includes the base price of the car. That is a alot of cash though.

Anyway, that sounds like a bad mofo. Bet it had an F-1R ProCharger. He has a lot of room to work with. Like 20 psi more type of room.

Thats cool your brother put down some good numbers too.
