ya ive been back from the Stan for about 3 months now.

Kabul isnt bad but its really frigging dirty.

the Taliban doesnt screw with americans much anymore, they know that the coalition troops have crappy Rules Of Engagement, so they mess with them.

just hope you dont get stuck on Camp Phoenix, its a ****hole

lol...that's funny. I'm Canadian. So they mess with me? Crap...

I'm going to Camp Julien, right in Kabul. Apparently it's not too bad there, save for land mines and the odd rocket fired in our general direction. The food is supposed to be pretty good there, though, so while i'm saving up all that modification money, i'll be eating and working out as much as possible on my time off so that i can have some bigger arms when I get home.

It shouldn't be that bad. I'm just gonna watch my back, and keep my eyes open. I'll be in touch with you while I'm over there, we've got internet capabilities thanks to us comms guys.

And thanks for all the support, you Americans really are incredible, and you're patriotism is the envy of all Canadians

camp julian is the envy of everyone in the area, the food is 500x's better than the rations we had.

anyway youll be visiting the camp phoenix PX to buy all the chips and soda, on a plus side about every three months they get in copies of MM&FF!!!!

just before i left the towel-bans were really laying the pipe to the coalition forces, RPG attack on the Dutch, suicide bomb on a Canadian/British convoy right outside the gates etc...

I left shortly before the Elections and stuff was starting to heat up.

Most of the stuff is going on down south near Khandahar etc...so you should be OK.

i've met few guys who came from there, but they were there from 1979-1989, stories are not pretty at all. its different now i guess. different coutries too.
