OT kinda:: cheap flux cored welder?

what do people think about the cheap flux cored welders off ebay for like $150???

I want to fix up my go kart and start practicing with exhaust tubing so i can weld them myself (turbo pipes one day) but is there any reason why i shouldn't buy this one or one like it? obviously if i did anything bigger than my go kart or something i'd have to get a better one. but any opinions on it for now?

it's rated upto 90 amps and i don't plan on doing any like 1/4" metal so i should be able to get some decent penetration. I'll only have to wait a while in between like 5 minute welding sprits because of that great duty cycle (12% @80) :bang:

what the crap happened to the gay smiley guy???????

I have used them and they are OK. If you want a weld that holds and dont care about the splatter then go ahead and get one. You will find that a lot of people who weld outside can only use this type of welder because the wind will blow the shielding gas away. Like anything, practice makes perfect. You can really get the feel for these after a few runs, and turn out some pretty good welds.
