Looks like they drifted it straight sideways into a curb or ditch, judging by how both of the passenger-side wheels actually BROKE. Probably going too fast into a left-hand turn, or hydroplaned on the highway. Doesn't look like they hit any other vehicles (no paint transfer), and there's no scratch marks on the paint like they put it against a concrete barrier or anything like that, so more than likely they were just being stupid and driving too damned fast.

yeah not mine, but pretty insane damage, especially to a nice shelby. I couldn't believe the rear rim how it blew apart like that!

Check out the front rim - looks like only the center section of the rim where it bolts to the hub remained intact.

Its just a Shelby GT so the motor/trans isnt anything special. Still a very sad sight tho :o/ I trailered my 66 out to Bowling Green for a local forum day and as I was backing the car off the trailer a blue and white GT500 hit both walls nose first then trunk then side...I nearly cried. They say it blew a headgasket at the top of the track and he never had a chance.

Also notice one of my favorite things about these newer stangs...the passenger compartment looks perfect! Very safe cars.

In the second pic, minus what's left of the trunk, yeah, I can see it.
