Overheat and now low oil pressure?

need some symptoms. when did it start over heating, do you have oil press in any rpm range?

I'm pretty sure the overall oil pressure sits steady. I haven't driven the car since the 'incident'. A pretty good boil over and drove it. Long story made quick, the car just got pulled out of the car wash. The steam I saw, though, wasn't from the wash itself. You get the picture. The gauge used to sit toward the middle, now it's been low ever since the boil over. Perhaps the sender got cooked?

Replace the oil pressure gauge sending unit and see if the readings change. If they're still low, you probably cooked the rod/main bearings when the engine overheated.

Joy! Would there be any noise or running issues immediately noticeable if I cooked the bearing?

this is why I never let any of my mustangs sit and idle, it seems like if you catch em on a bad day they will over heat..
