P0208 After Intake Manifold Replacement

So im new to the forums and was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. I replaced my intake manifold and before i replaced it i had a missfire in cylinder 5 from coolant going into the spark plug. So i replaced the manifold and car ran like it still had the misfire. So drove it around and ses light comes on and its for cylinder 8 injector. I checked to make sure contection to the injector was tight and secure with no dirt in the wire connector and everything was good. It didnt look like there was anything wrong with the wires either from what i could see. I just dont know if it was just a coincidence that it went bad at the same time or if theres something else wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I dont mean to rush but a response would be great because my car has been sitting for so long now waiting for the intake manifold and im just ready to beable to hope back in

It would also be handy to know what the actual DTC code is. There are 1,000's of them and they each have a story to tell. Don't make the people trying to help you guess.

Hint. IF the DTC code does mention "circuit failure" in the description then it's likely the problem is either:
  • bad injector. consider swapping to a different cylinder to see if the DTC follows the injector
  • Bad electrical connector. look for bent/pushed pins.
  • bad wiring. Much harder to test for.
  • bad PCM.
I must encourage you to go back and double check your work. Pay special attention to where the wiring harness crosses behind the throttle body. Look for any evidence of wiring harness damage. A much higher possibility after major work such as an intake replacement.

Start by either replacing or swapping spark plugs. See if it follows the plug.
Next swap coil packs, see if it follows the COP
Last swap injectors, see if it follows the injector

If it doenst follow any of the above components, you have some more severe issues going on..
