I was looking to get a set of headers on a budget, it was BBK shorties or Pacesetters. Pacesetter is based out of my home town so I went with them. I got a set of equal length shorties. I was wondering if anyone else has used Pacesetter and if so what they thought of them.

I have their Hpipe, better fit than OEM IMO, easy as hell to get to all the bolts, unlike the oem one where the cat blocks the way to the header bolts. Also on the OEM peice I have to clamp the tranny exhaust hanar to get th stock hangars to go in, not on the pacesetter.

I have a set of BBK chrome shorties on the stang right now and they were a very easy install. I also just picked up a set of headers for the F-150 from Pacesetter. I am installing them this weekend and I will let you know how it goes. I will most likely break off at least one header bolt in the process though and not get done by sunday. I'll keep you posted. I actually bought the summit brand headers for the 5.4L, but they sent Pacesetters.

Well I live in Phoenix so I dont have to worry to much about rust. I got them and i am about to go finish putting my motor together, so I let you know how they work some time this weekend. I was waiting on a gasket from summit. Got home today and it was sitting out side my door 2 big A$$ boxs for 4 little old gaskets. Turns out they sent a hat with it and shipped it twice. Only got billed for one. So now I have 2 hats and 8 upper, lower intake gaskets for the price of the gaskets. SUMMIT ROCKS

P.S. So the gaskets I got with the Pacesetter exhaust are no good? They did seem kind of paper like. I should use the metal FELPRO gaskets instead?

i agree, sooner or later it will rust no matter where you live. How ever living in a hot dry climate it tends to take a little longer. Im sure I will get my money out of them. Speaking of which I went to install them and the passenger side didnt fit. My motor mount was shot so I had to go buy 2 new mounts. Im in the middle of doing it now actually. One thing after another. Its a never ending cycle. But it is well worth the extra time, money and work to blow the doors off a Chevy or two.

And 88GT youre going to have to change your animation pretty soon. Gas prices are finally coming down. I saw $2.05 today(for 87octane of course so 2.25)

i'm still pretty broke cuz of gas lol. But I agree, 25 bucks to fill up is FINE by me. I live in GA and it rains alot here, if you want, I'll snap a pic of my H. It is not rusty but has turned a bluish copperish tint like alot of headers do.
