For all the folks who want to take the paint off their machine. Hire some one to do it. I don't care if it cost $3000. I just got my 68 fastback down to the metal. Went through three coats of paint and three coats of primer. The last coat of primer was from hell. I put four coats of stripper on that last coat of primer before it let go.
In all I went through four and one half gallons of Aircraft stripper. Using the best mask money could buy I might be around to paint the thing. Would not go through this again.
The Aircraft stripper has teeth but some of that old primer has fangs.

Ah you pansy! I went through the same amount of Aircraft stipper that you did on my '65. I personally enjoyed stripping the car. My '65 is the first car that I have ever restored...actually it's a restomod (my uncle and I are doing it). Once I was finished stipping it, I felt great to see the thing sitting there in bare metal!

later,

Chris
