Hey guys, I have a 1997 GT. My dad owns a bodyshop in Missouri so when I go to visit I am going to get a fresh paint job. I love my car black, but just black isn't very original. I was thinking a Jaguar Black Cherry (Black with a little red pearl) and then a red that matches the pearl on the scoops in the hood and behind the doors, and also on that lower piece on the rear bumper. I am going to shave all the badges and the anntena. Any suggestions are very welcome. I am not sure what I want as a general paint scheme I just know I want it to be mainly black, if that makes since. If you have pictures of anything, please post them, or just be descriptive so I can picture it in my head.

i think it might and i emphasize might be neat to see all black with ghost effect boss stripes. i like the boss stripes on our body styles but i would like to see someone ghost them on, i think i might do this when it comes time for a new paint job unless i come up with something better, oh yeah you can do the boss style graphic but dont have the word boss like the real grapic has, (does this make sense).

i just remembered there is a differance in boss stripes from year to year this is the style i like on our cars not the shinoda type

What you plan on doing already sounds nice, but do you really need a new paintjob?

I wish I could afford one.

Do I NEED one? Probably not. It has minor things here and there but not too bad. But I can get a $5000-$10,000 paint job, even more for only the cost of materials. So, why not? Plus if I ever sell her for a Mach or Cobra it will help me be able to get more $$$.
