today after the orentation at the high school me and a buddy came home and went and bought some paint and came back and started sanding. its not perfect becasue i dont plan to keep it.( and i ran out of sand paper) so i started painting. here's how it turned out. ( its not a show car.) just a driver so it dont bother me that its not perfect.

now the engine bay looks weird. becuase of all the other stuff. tomorrow i think ill take some of the other stuff off( wiper motor ect.) and paint them black. that or im going to buy a new alternator and send it to MansonOzz to be polished.(hush about the money part).

what do you think painting the stuff black...or...paint some black and get 3 or 4 things polished?

Looks good, You just need to do a good degreasing and paint your valve covers like that too! Put some armor all on the hoses and stuff, and put some black loom over exposed wires and it'll look great. In the future you could get a nice chrome aircleaner and that would look awesome, But I think cleaning and painting the valve covers would set it off even more.

before you buy more paint, buy some simple green, dilute it and wash your entire engine bay down. it looks like you ran out of paint on the air cleaner hose also. the back side of your serpentine belt looks glazed, ya might wanna check that as well.. take some good cleaner and scrub your hoses.. (nothing that will make them harden and deteriorate) tehn i would start taking your pulleys off 1 by 1, and hit them with a not so shiny black that will clean them up, but not make them look out of place

Oh I forgot to add, just keep the armor all off of your belt and you'll be okay.

I would sand down the rust off the ac lines then paint them paint with everything else you can as if you paint only one thing then everything else looks dirty and old.......

yes i know what you mean. 2 marrow after my 2nd day of the orientation for high school( girls are hotter then last year)

i took the wiper motor off about an hour ago and started sanding on it. the ac lines i was thinking of too.ill just have to tape the stuff off. either that or take them off. well my a/c dont work right now. keeps blowing fuses. i may just get rid of it

ill have some pictures for you two marrow of the engine after a couple things are painted. keep checking back.

Dont take your A/C lines off, just tape around them. If there is any pressure in the system it could come out pretty fast and if it gets in your eyes you are screwed. If your going to pay the money to have your alternator polished, you might as well upgrade to a 3g first. If you have to have your cars emissions checked, dont take anything off. If its smog exempt you can take stuff off just make sure that if you have any lines vacuum or thermactor still going to the engine or exhaust, then you need to plug them.
