looking good, now clean up the rest haha, seriously what I did to my engine was take simple green, spray the hole engine down with it, srub some of the dirty places, and it also works great on the paint inside the engine bay, im not saying spray simple green all over your car or even spray it in the engine bay and scrub it, but spray it and wipe it off with a rag and all the scum on the paint will look come off, I had fun when I cleaned my engine. And for metal parts do what you did with the air cleaner, sand them down with high grit sand paper, it works like a charm, i did that to my ps pump, alternator, brackets, and the ac comp. before i took it off.

def. What I did was buy a toilet scrubber, kitchen scrubber works too but the toilet ones have stiffer brissles. I use it for my rims, it gets brake dust off very well and I also use it for my engine when I clean it. Soak it wiht simple green, let it sit bout 3 min then get scrubbin, should do wonders. Then if you have a pressure washer, cover the alt. and dizzy cap and hose it down really good. It will take off alot of the old grime that is there.

I always knew simple green was great but I got the siple green technique from you, Hey hence you should sand down your ps pump bracket thing, Just take like 1000 grit sand paper and give it a few swipes then you can use polish cleaner on it and itll look brand new, it wont stay perfect but itll be easy to clean.

Lookin good ryan, keep it up, id say paint the a/c compressor or sand it down if you dont wanna take it off.
