Does anyone have a good estimate on costs for paint, prep and installing a front bumper? I am thinking about a Roush bumper and it has already been painted so it will need to be stripped and repainted.. I know alot depends on location and labor rates but what is a 'good' price to pay for all the work I listed? I have a laser red car which I was told it might cost more as well?

Yeah around that, laser red is two stage.

Depending on where you live, it might not be that bad. I got my hood, fenders, and decklid painted Laser Red for $800 total.

DAMN! Yea I was thinking it would be half that or a little bit over half of that.. Nowhere near a grand for just a bumper. But this is why I ask questions on here so I have a good base knowledge before buying the bumper! I really want to change the bumpers but at those prices I will just wait for someone to bump the car and get insurance to help pay for it.

Well I went by a quality shop and I was told 250 to paint it and 330 for paint and installing it.. so I can get the bumper and have it painted for less than 600 so I think its sounds like a pretty damn good deal!

paint work is $42 an hour at my shop. you would be looking around $500 MAX on the front bumper. honestly i think it would be less than $300

laser red is more expensive then any other mustang color, bot no way in hell $900 for a front bumper only!

fwiw i know a few good painters, and my hoods getting done now, $150 for prep, base, clear and buff the top side

Thanks. I got a quote for $250 to paint it and 330 to paint and install it. When ppl said 900 I was beginning to wonder how in the hell insurance handles body work on any special color car..
