Next up is some suspension upgrades and I wanted to change out the stock sway bars for new Steeda sway bars, but a buddy of mine is recommending a MM panhard bar. I'm not to sure the benefits of a panhard bar verse a rear sway bar and how street able a panhard bar is. My current set up is Steeda lowering springs, bilstein shocks and struts, MM caster camber, sub frames, steeda upper and lower rear control arms. Plans this winter are new A arms, sway bars and 4 wheel disc upgrades. The car sees some real good spirited driving on the weekends but probably won't ever see a track giving the 3 hours it takes to get to English town. Any thoughts on the panhard bar would be appreciated

Panhard bars and sway bars perform different functions. You don't install one to replace the other.... That would be like installing a new set of head lights because your tail light burnt out.

So I would Have to buy both what would be the advantages of a panhard bar or would it be a waste of money adding one to my car being that I don't Plan on hitting any road coarses. Reading up on it the panhard bar seems like a good addition to even a street suspension

A panhard bar will make the car tighter feeling in corners and a sway bar reduces body roll. Both are good to have, but the panhard usually means losing your tailpipes. An anti-roll bar is something else to look into..

Having never installed a panhard bar myself, I have heard that the Steeda setup has the best chances of going in with the least amount of exhaust modification.

MFE92 I ping him about nearly all suspension questions as he seems to have worked with the majority of it.

FWIW, my MM panhard bar cleared my flowmaster catback fine. It was very tight but it cleared. The PB did a great job of locating the rear end. No lateral movement at all.

As has already been pointed out, they perform completely different functions, and personally I don't think Steeda ever made a panhard bar kit for foxbodies. My Dynomax LX tailpipes cleared my MM panhard bar for the most part, I had to wrap one part of the bar with high-temp rubber to make sure the pipe wouldn't make noise when it knocked against it, but other than that they were fine.
